1. Mineral Exploration
Project review and evaluation:
• Review of project data from existing projects: exploration advice and stratergy
• Compilation and evaluation of historic data for new exploration programmes from single tenements
to mineral prospective regions.
• Satellite/geophysical/geological data evaluation for geological mapping and target generation.
Project management:
• Exploration programme creation and budgeting.
• Project management from grass-roots exploration through drilling to initial resource.
• Database management, including QA/QC of assay data and GIS work (can be done remotely from the UK for cost-effectiveness).
• General GIS requirements using ArcGIS®, Mapinfo Pro/Discover® and Discover 3D®, also QGIS® .
• Development of procedures (Standard Operating Procedures) for different aspects of mineral exploration, from geological mapping, geochemical surveys, drilling logging and sampling, through to sample submission.
2. Geological Mapping
• Geological mapping at any scale from outcrop through to regional to provide an understanding of the regional geology and ground- truthing satellite interpretation.
• Mapping data can be produce at a variety of scales for presentation purposes or as base maps for exploration.
• Satellite data interpretation to enhance existing mapping or provide geological information on areas where no or poor data exists.
3. Staff Training and development
• Mineral exploration techniques with courses targeted around individual companies requirements and projects, i.e. training can be
combined with the actual exploration programme.
• Training in geological mapping techniques.
• Data handling, from sample collecting through to submission, data validation (QAQC) and final presentation.
